For fortnight students from different parts of the world studied, worked on projects and got acquainted with Ekaterinburg within the framework of the Summer University project at UrFU.
I really enjoyed my time in Ekaterinburg and at UrFU," – shared her impressions Dayana Spanova, a student of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. - I found new friends from different countries, learned new cultures, and with great interest I did a joint project in a group - we created an application on education. It's an amazing experience, it feels like I've been here for a whole year. I liked the university, there are many areas of study and very good teachers. I even thought about coming here".
Viktor Koksharov, principal of UrFU, emphasized that the project will be repeated every year and suggested that the foreign participants should think about continuing their studies at master's or postgraduate level at UrFU or other Russian universities, after which they should return home as highly qualified specialists.
"You had time to listen to lectures by our professors, participate in projects, but most importantly - to get acquainted with peers from different countries. I would like to thank the team of organizers, teachers, and volunteers - they were with the participants throughout the project. Our joint work with partner universities will continue, we will sign cooperation agreements, develop joint educational programs, and research projects", - added Viktor Koksharov.
300 students from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia, Brazil, India, Vietnam, China, Colombia, Yemen, Egypt and Turkmenistan came to UrFU to participate in the Summer University.
