Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University invites Russian and international students to join the Summer University project. The program of stay includes lectures, seminars, practical classes, as well as excursions and cultural events.
Timirkhan Alishev, vice-principal for external relations of KFU, noted that it is the first time the university takes part in the project. He expressed hope that the university will be able to demonstrate with the best side the promising educational areas for foreign students:
"We invited Nizhny Novgorod State University, Samara State Technical University, Udmurt State University, Innopolis University and other universities of the Volga Federal District as partners. We tried to make the program as diverse as possible in terms of subject areas. In addition, a social design program will be implemented: foreign participants will have an opportunity to formulate and defend a project that will later be implemented in their countries".
The educational block of KFU Summer University is represented by 10 tracks. Among them is a track with the study of economics, Russian and medieval history, languages, time management and critical thinking technologies. Students will also be able to master the Tinkercad and Blender 3D editing software, learn about quantum computing and cryptography, and develop their first mobile application.
This year, in addition to KFU, Ural and Siberian Federal Universities will be the venues of the Summer University. A total of 1,2 thousand students will take part in the project: 300 foreign and 100 Russian students at each participating university.
The Summer University federal project is a socially significant event in the sphere of education, science and youth policy on an international scale. The Summer University was first implemented in 2021 in the format of a large-scale educational project of the Federal state.
