Summer University 2026 is happening!
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Siberian Federal University invite international students to take part in the Summer University project. Alongside Russia's leading universities, our university is serving as a host venue for participants from around the world for the fifth time. This year, the event will take place from July 6 to 19, 2026. A total of 430 students from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Chile, Ecuador, China, Brazil, Malaysia, Pakistan, Mongolia, and Saudi Arabia will participate in the project in Krasnoyarsk.
Siberian Federal University is a modern multidisciplinary institution that combines a high level of fundamental and applied research with training professionals for high-tech industries and individual entrepreneurship. SibFU is among Russia's national leaders in educational quality and research relevance.
The SibFU campus is an integrated environment comprising 27 buildings on both banks of the Yenisei River and 30 dormitories, along with dozens of sports clubs, research laboratories, a library, exhibition and concert halls, and landscaped boulevards and parks. All of this is situated in a green park zone of Krasnoyarsk, yet remains easily accessible by public transport.
That is why participating in the project on the SibFU campus will not only help you unlock your potential and develop the skills needed for professional growth, but will also guarantee unforgettable and vivid experiences.

Digital Tools in Humanities Projects

Within the Digital Technologies track, the Humanities Institute (HI) has developed the program "Digital Tools in Humanities Projects." The program is designed to build participants' digital skills and competencies for practical and research work in IT, programming languages, website and chatbot development, and virtual and augmented reality technologies. It also fosters the communicative and intellectual abilities essential for modern thinking, analysis, and working in an IT environment. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in digital humanities (DH) — a field of study that deepens understanding of the synthesis between modern technology and classical scholarship.

Through this program, participants will explore both integrated approaches to teaching and learning grounded in the principles of pedagogy and psychology, and current issues in the psychological and pedagogical support of individuals in the digital environment — including the psychological dimensions of digitalization, digital pedagogical technologies, and virtual technologies for psychological counseling.

The program explores a wide range of applications of mathematics in today's world. Participants will examine the role of mathematics in information technology and the digital society, and will develop practical skills in working with statistical data, including constructing tables, charts, and graphs. The program is designed both to demonstrate the importance of mathematical knowledge across various areas of life and professional activity — from engineering problems to data analysis in the digital age — and to strengthen mathematical literacy, broaden participants' horizons in advanced mathematics, and introduce them to current research directions within the field.

Moreover, the topic itself is undeniably relevant. Digital transformation of business demands the adoption of new technologies, improved workflows, higher product and customer service quality, greater production efficiency, and much more. To digitalize a business, company leadership must develop a digital transformation strategy, implement new solutions, and ensure information security. All of these issues have become leading topics of discussion at panel sessions and roundtables of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.

Over the past decades, digital transformation has evolved from a niche initiative into a fundamental necessity. Businesses need it to survive. The program draws on the expertise of Russian professionals and will help you not only master advanced management tools, but also understand why businesses need technology in the first place.Modern teaching methods and the intensive practical reinforcement of theoretical knowledge will make the learning experience at the Summer University in Krasnoyarsk both engaging and enjoyable. We are confident that the knowledge and skills acquired will serve all participants well in their future professional careers.
In addition, participants' educational programs include a series of intensive trainings and seminars on developing soft skills and future-ready competencies. All sessions are designed with a focus on the practical applicability of the knowledge and skills gained in future professional activities.
Future Competencies Intensives
Interactive seminar "Digital Skills: Global Challenges and Best Practices": this seminar explores trends, technologies, and models for developing digital skills. You will be introduced to digital competency frameworks and levels of digital skill development. The training also covers innovative models for teaching digital skills and other pioneering educational solutions across various learning formats.
Seminar-training "Agile Thinking in Business": during the training, participants will engage in exercises designed to develop the ability to quickly identify problem areas in a business and, by addressing them, improve the business as a whole. Participants will also learn techniques for rapidly adapting to new situations, acting effectively under unforeseen circumstances, and finding unconventional solutions.
Workshop "Mastering Presentations": gain the knowledge of how to hold your audience's attention throughout an entire presentation and receive meaningful feedback from any audience. The seminar is aimed at building practical skills that will help you confidently argue and defend your position.
The educational program also includes visits to industrial and scientific-technological workshops on developing progressive business projects aligned with sustainable development concepts. Through this format, participants will have the opportunity to visit the facilities of leading Russian enterprises, including:
- JSC "Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold Plant named after V. N. Gulidov" — one of the world's largest producers of eight precious metals and products made from them. The workshop offers an up-close look at a modern industrial operation with significant industrial and intellectual potential that advances science and technology, focuses on import substitution, and produces high-quality goods;
- JSC "RUSAL Krasnoyarsk" — one of the world's largest aluminum producers, whose workshop takes the form of a unique industrial tourism excursion, allowing participants not only to see the main stages of producing the "winged metal," but also to gain clear and accurate information about the plant's operations, RUSAL's environmental projects, and efforts to reduce environmental impact;
- LLC "Polyus Multifunctional Center" — a unified management center for accounting, tax, HR administration, IT, document management, and payment functions for a company recognized as a global leader in gold mining;
- and many other leading enterprises in the city.

Project Module
The project module consists of individual and team project work with a mentor focused on developing business projects and startups.
The goals of this module are:
- creating a new space for interaction between Russian and international young professionals through formal and informal communication while working on a shared topic;
- developing participants' skills in working within project teams alongside international specialists;
- enhancing participants' intercultural competence and methodological literacy.

Participants will thus have a unique opportunity to develop startup projects related to the topics of their educational tracks.
This is how multifaceted connections are born and strengthened — connections without which it is hard to imagine the future development of global science and high technology, or the emergence of important cultural and social initiatives.
Cultural and Leisure Module

At SibFU, two weeks of not only productive but truly vibrant experiences await you: a powerful skills boost, a rich and diverse cultural and educational program, new friendships, emotions, and unforgettable memories.

In addition to the academic program, the organizers have planned the following activities:
- Sports and wellness activities:
- daily fitness morning (morning exercises): a quick workout essential for everyone. It includes a set of simple exercises for different goals: general conditioning for a light full-body muscle workout, and therapeutic exercises (physical therapy) — a few minutes of simple movements to strengthen the back, prevent osteochondrosis, and improve posture;
- an international team sports competition "Youth for a Healthy Lifestyle," the goal of which is not to showcase physical endurance and strength, but to create positive emotions that lift spirits and bring people together. These competitions will energize participants with a healthy boost;
- the international football tournament "Siberian Showdown" — a sports event that not only promotes and develops student football, but also champions a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness while uniting teams of project participants from around the world.
- City excursion programs:
- a guided bus tour "Must-See Krasnoyarsk" visiting the city's main landmarks, including the opportunity to see the city's founding site, learn about the remarkable people whose lives were connected to Krasnoyarsk, ride through the streets and squares of the regional capital, and enjoy a panoramic city view from Karaulnaya Gora (Guard Mountain);
- a guided tour to the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station: this trip includes not only a visit to this unique structure — one of the world's largest hydroelectric dams — the Krasnoyarsk HPP (exterior viewing), but also a trip to the famous observation point in the village of Sliznevo, perched on the edge of a sheer cliff above the Yenisei, where a striking monument dedicated to Viktor Astafyev's renowned work "Tsar-Fish" stands;
- a city photo rally "Different Krasnoyarsk: Breaking Stereotypes about Siberia and Getting to Know the City" — a self-guided team walk through the c
