Over the course of two weeks, 430 students from 16 countries will study modern technologies, work on interdisciplinary projects, and get acquainted with the Russian education system and the culture of the Urals.
"Ural Federal University is a university open to the world. We are delighted to host talented students from different countries, creating a space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and cultures. I am confident that during two weeks of study and collaborative work, not only interesting projects but also strong bonds will be forged here, contributing to the development of science, education, and friendship between our countries," noted UrFU Rector Ilya Obabkov.
The grand opening ceremony brought together participants, lecturers, organizers, and project partners. The "Summer university" program includes educational tracks in information technologies and artificial intelligence, economics, management, humanities, jurisprudence, and nuclear technologies, as well as project work, excursions, and cultural events.
After the opening, participants attended a lecture "Act like a champion: sports principles for everyday life," delivered by Olympic medalist, choreographer, producer of ice shows and sports events Ilya Averbukh. The meeting took place as part of the "Knowledge.Career" project. In his lecture, Ilya Averbukh spoke about the qualities that help achieve high results not only in sports but also in studies, profession, and everyday life. He paid special attention to discipline, the ability to work in a team, responsibility for one's own choices, and a readiness for continuous development.
Ahead, participants can look forward to two weeks of an intensive educational program, work on real cases from industrial partners, meetings with experts, a visit to the international exhibition "Innoprom," and an introduction to Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region.
