Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, welcomed the participants and organizers of the Summer University-2023 federal project:
"Dear participants, organizers and guests of the Summer University!
I welcome you to a unique educational platform created to acquaint young people from different countries with Russian education, science, history, and culture.
The first Summer University took place in the Year of Science and Technology in the format of an educational project between Russia and Belarus. Since then, the geography of the project participants has increased many times over. Last year students from 9 countries took part in the Summer University, and this year the forum has already brought together students from 25 countries of far and near abroad. This once again confirms the demand for Russian education and the openness of our country for international scientific projects.
The program of the forum is also getting richer. This year, three universities in Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and Kazan have prepared substantial educational intensives for the participants in the most popular scientific areas.
There is also an extensive cultural program ahead, including excursions, concerts, and workshops, which will help to make new friends, strengthen friendship ties, and get acquainted with the traditions and culture of Russia. I am confident that the Summer University will become an excellent platform for creating social and cultural initiatives, breakthrough innovative projects, and most importantly - joint ideas and new international collaborations, which will strengthen the development of human resources potential of our countries.
